Antique Hand-painted Porcelain Serveware Including Carl Tielsch
Item Details
A pairing of antique hand-painted porcelain serveware including a handled tidbit tray and a serving bowl. The pieces feature bright hand-painted floral designs to the white ground with gilt accents. The tray offers large molded foliate designs to the looping handle and bears the blue underglaze mark used by Carl Tielsch ca. 1900. The bowl has no visible maker’s mark which is typical of wares produced before 1891.
Condition
- wear to gilding and paint; marks and staining to undersides.
