A porcelain vessel titled Adelaide II designed by artist Xie Dong.This work features feathered and flowing delineations moulded into a wide-mouthed sculptural vessel.

Xie Dong was born in Beijing and is a notable artist, ceramicist, and designer known for her ethereal bone porcelain vessels. She studied at the Beijing Art and Design Institute where she struggled to find a medium that spoke to her ability and soul as an artist until she discovered porcelain. Dong explores the concepts of heaviness and lightness and the fluctuation of shapes through her bone china creations. Her awards include Best Chinaware Design Award of 2005 Elle Decoration and Best Lighting and Accessories Award of EDIDA.
