A 1908 double-hammer ‘New England Wonder’ break-apart shotgun by the American Gun Company of New York. Manufactured by the H & D Folsom Gun Company under the American Gun Company name, this model of percussion cap, double-barreled shotgun originally appeared in the 1908 Sears catalog for a selling price of $10.95. It features a dark wood stock with twin triggers and hammers, and etched side plates bearing the ‘American Gun Co. New York’ name, with rounded breechballs and the engravings ‘Genuine Armory Steel’ and ‘Choke Bored’ to the barrels.
