An antique Staffordshire pottery portrait figure of the British highwayman Dick Turpin. This piece displays Turpin wearing a cocked bicorn hat, wearing a long deep blue jacket and white waistcoat, his firearm holstered and with his hand on the reins of his horse, Black Bess, on whom he is riding. The figurine stands on a white oval base with Turpin’s name in gilt letters. No maker’s marks are visible.

- minor markings throughout; some crazing, especially to the base.
