A reproduction lithograph travel poster on paper after a design by listed artist Paul George Lawler (American, 20th century). The piece is modeled after a mid-century Pan American airlines advertising print depicting a woman wearing a patterned dress and a floral hair wreath. She relaxes leisurely in a tropical island setting, watching an airplane land against a backdrop of mountain peaks. The image is signed in plate to the lower right, with text of ‘Fly to South Sea Isles via Pan American’ printed in plate to the top and and bottom margins. The print is numbered as 4180 out of an edition of 5000 to the lower left, written by an unknown hand. It is presented under acrylic glazing in a blue metal frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
