Vintage Chinese Ginger Jar
Item Details
A vintage Chinese ceramic ginger jar. This decorative ginger jar features hand-painted pastoral scenes and male figures in cobalt blue over ivory crazing. It is accented with bands of incised geometric patterns topped with matte umber glaze to the bell shaped lid, neck, and base. The underside is covered with felt and does not bear a visible maker’s mark.
Condition
- to poor, bottom protective fabric is peeling off, small chip in rim of lid, crazing throughout.
