Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Turkmen Bokhara wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, ivory, black, and goldenrod. The scarlet colored field features a row of Tekke guls enclosed by partial chemche guls, and framed in a main hooked medallion patterned border. There are also diamond patterned guard borders, and elem panels with added chamtos borders as well. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a wool kilim skirt with wool warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
