A Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock triptych titled Silver Wedding Anniversary (銀婚式御擧の圖) by Japanese artist Toyohara Chikanobu (豊原周延, Also known as Yōshū Chikanobu 楊洲周延, 1838-1912). The three-part print depict several lines of mustached men in military regalia, one standing away from the group to read something to a group of women seated together at the far end of the room. The print title and inscription are printed in the upper right corner and the artist’s printed ‘Yōshū Chikanobu’ signature in the upper left. The piece is matted in a wooden frame with a wire to its verso for hanging.
