An 1894 Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock triptych print titled 25 Year Celebration of the Imperial Wedding with Celebration from the Citizenry with Respectful Congratulations (大婚二十五年御祝典市民奉賀之圖) by Nagashima Shungyō (春暁永島, active late 19th century). This print depicts uniformed men and horses accompanying the Imperial carriage holding the Imperial couple, part of a crowd visible along the lower edge of the composition. The print’s title and an extensive inscription occupy the upper right corner. The work bears the artist’s ‘Shungyō ga’ (春暁永島画) printed signature in the lower right corner and a Hasegawa Tsunejirō (長谷川常治郎, active mid 19th century) publisher seal in the lower left corner dating the work to February 1894 (Meiji 27). It is matted under acrylic glazing in a wooden frame and has a hanging wire to its verso.
