An antique Scandinavian Kjøbenhavns Telefon Aktieselskab wall telephone. KTAS was a telephone manufacturer from Denmark, however the telephone is marked ‘Kristiania’, the official name for Oslo, Norway, from 1877-1925. The piece features an oak casing with a metal, wood and early black plastic hand piece and rotary dial. The piece is marked to the top, side, mouthpiece and interior, and numbered ‘840’ to the interior. It retains its original paper wiring label which is marked with ‘Katalog no. 2093’, ‘Model 1918’, and ‘Fabrikation no. 303376’.

Condition

- some minor oxidation noted; missing mouth piece; some finish wear to design and lettering; some markings to wood casing; untested.
