19th Century Ansonia Gingerbread Mantle Clock
Item Details
A 19th century Ansonia gingerbread mantel clock. An oak cased clock with a cutout crest and side columns with a pressed back scrollwork design. The clock has a wood framed glass front door that features a reverse painted white decorative design and displays a gold tone bezel surrounding an antique white metal face with black Roman numerals, two brass key arbors and black hands. Other features of the clock include a brass pendulum with an embossed floral design, a winding key and an 8-day time and strike movement with chimes and an alarm. The clock finishes on a plinth style base with decorative scrollwork and bracket feet. The clock is labeled ‘The Ansonia Clock Company’ on the face.
