1934 Philco Model 59 Tabletop Radio

Item Details

A Philco Model 59 tabletop radio featuring a compact ‘cigar-box’ style design with mahogany veneer and inlay border to the front. It features an arched top with fabric speaker screen and two control knobs to either side of the speaker. It is marked Philco to the front and retains portions of its original label to the underside marked ‘Model 59 Code 121’. The radio receives broadcast AM radio only.

Condition

- chips and wear to the veneer throughout; some dust and dirt noted; does power on when tested, but not otherwise tested; wiring not up to current safety standards.
