1934 and 1935 Philco Model 84 Cathedral Style Radios

Item Details

A pair of Philco model 84 cathedral style radios, including a 1934 early version and a 1935 middle version. Both feature a darkly stained wood housing with a fabric speaker screen with dials and knobs to the front. The early version has a round speaker opening with three vertical bars and the middle version has three vertical bars in the lyre shaped speaker opening. Both retain their original paper tags to the verso marked Chassis Type 84 and Code 121. Both radios receive the broadcast AM band only.

Condition

- backs missing or detached, scratches, split and cracked wood, frayed wires; missing knobs; dust and dirt noted; untested due to frayed wiring.
