Item Details
A vintage Ling Dai Mi Ware Foochow lacquered tray. This oval tray produced between 1910-30 displays a central hand painted landscape design of figures in a boat accented with tree motifs and pagodas on mountain peaks. This design is presented against a black lacquered ground. The tray was the property of Drs. Ben and Alice Baker who were missionaries in China during the first third of the twentieth century. The underside bears the maker’s mark; ‘Made in China’.
