Vintage Grandfather Clock

Item Details

A vintage grandfather clock. This piece features a cherry stain to a select hardwood and veneer case. It has an arched crest with three wooden twist finials and carved swan pediments. The case features reeded side columns and a glass front door with a ‘The New World and The Old World’ moon phase dial at the top and floral motifs spandrels surrounding black Arabic numbers on a white face with three key arbors. Below is a door at the waist with a carved shell overlay that reveals a brass pendulum with cylinder style weights flanked by fluted columns and the case has a deep base with a scalloped edge trim to the bottom and four ogee bracket feet. There is no visible maker’s mark.
