A sterling silver flatware set by International Silver Co. This is in the Alfred G. Kintz designed Wild Rose pattern, first introduced in 1948, which features a shaped handle with rose and leaf accents. The forty-nine piece set includes a shell bowl ladle, a meat fork, a butter spreader, a master butter knife, a serving spoon, a pierced serving spoon, eight salad forks, ten teaspoons, seven soup spoons, two place spoons, and eight dinner forks, all marked ‘International Sterling’ to the backs of the handles. They are also presented with eight dinner knives that have stainless blades and sterling hollow handles. The set comes in a wooden flatware chest with red felt-like interior lining. The total approximate weight, excluding the dinner knives with stainless blades, is 52.380 ozt.
