An eastern Orthodox oil painting on board icon of Christ Pantokrator. This print depicts Christ holding a Gospel bound in a gold tone cover. The fingers on his right hand are meet to form the initials of Christ’s monogram and bestowing a blessing. He is rendered wearing a red tunic.

Condition

- to fair; edge wear to wooden plaque; surface is heavily scratched and there are areas of media loss throughout the image, exposing paper and wood ground; to the lower right corner is a deep nick in the wood base.
