Hand-Tufted Indo-Persian Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-tufted Persian-inspired wool area rug made in India. The large carpet has been made using shades of ivory, coffee, espresso, chocolate, olive, sand, pine, and taupe. The field is infilled with a symmetrical overall pattern of herati, incorporating palmettes, scrolling leaves, and curving vines. Narrow lobed flower and split leaf guard borders flank the herati primary border. The carpet is backed in woven fabric, the ends and selvedges have been overcast, and there are two labels affixed to the underside. One tag identifies the country of origin, the materials, and guarantees that the rug was produced without the use of child labor. The second has a bar code and dimensions.
