Hand-Knotted Chinese Aubusson Style Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Chinese Aubusson style wool area rug. The large carpet has been worked in shades of cranberry, salmon, aqua, ivory, olive, black, robin’s egg blue, taupe, green, and camel. A large circular floral medallion is surrounded by blooming stems and scrolling acanthus leaves. Split leaf and carnation guard borders flank a flower-filled primary border punctuated with small medallions. The selvedges have been overcast and there is fringe at each end. The rug is not labeled.
