A hand-knotted Indo-Persian carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, ochre, peach, teal and cream. It features an elaborate herati pattern incorporating ornate palmettes, lancet leaves, foliates, flowers and vines over a crimson field with ochre contouring. The field is framed by three borders, including a herati main border grounded in teal and filled with palmettes, flowers and abstract motifs. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with ivory wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
