A Chinese green lacquer box with inset carved jade dragon. The unusual green lacquered box is textured to the sides in a checkerboard pattern with the top being an intricate allover carved peony and foliate pattern. The carved dragon displaying fine detailing to the scales and talons.

Condition

- stone shows a crack but is secure in the settig
- chip in lacquer inside edge and one outer corner
