A selection of one brass and one Yixing teapot. Featured is a solid brass teapot with botanical etchings with a squat form, arched handle , curved spout, acorn finial to lid, molded metal pedestal with acanthus leaf feet.Marked ‘solid brass’. A Chinese teapot made from Yixing clay, also called purple sand, is traditionally used to brew black and oolong teas as they are known to absorb the flavors of the tea and get better over time. The pot is accented with a rope wrapped metal handle and lid with ring lid finial. The item is impressed with Chinese characters to the undersides. The selection includes a carved figurine of a crane. It is marked ‘Made in China’ to the underside.
