English Art Deco Burl Walnut Bar Cabinet, probably Epstein Brothers
Item Details
A 1930s English Art Deco bar cabinet, probably by Harry and Lou Epstein. The European burl walnut veneered cabinet displays a wide, U-shaped silhouette, featuring a taller center cabinet flanked by slightly lower side cabinets. The fluted cabinet doors of these have rounded corners, and are fitted with round, vertical wood pulls. The center cabinet has a hinged top that lifts up to reveal a bar with a mirrored back and shelf above a pull-out work surface, with vintage stemmed glassware included. The bottom of the pull-out work surface is fitted with a sheet of mirrored glass held in by chromed metal corner brackets. The side cabinets are fitted with shelves. The bar cabinet is held between the curved, U-shaped sides, suspended above a molded base.
