An Atwater Kent ‘Big Box’ broadcast receiver 4640 model 20. This 1920’s receiver features a wooden case with a lid covering the components for operation. A maker’s plaque is nailed to the inside of the lid. The front includes three AM tuners, an antenna switch, on/off switch, and two rheostats which control the five tubes. On the back the radio has inputs for external speakers and batteries. Two additional manufacturer labels have been nailed to the underside.

Condition

- various degrees of surface wear, residue, tarnishing, oxidation and scratches present. Missing internal parts and existing components need replaced.
