English Art Deco Walnut and Birch Sideboard by M.P. Davis
Item Details
An Art Deco walnut and birch sideboard by M.P. Davis. The sideboard has a rectangular top with protective glass, and three bow-front drawers, two horizontal glass front cabinets and two wood cabinets below. It is embellished with two light colored horizontal wood bands that wrap around three sides. The solid wood drawer boxes have unusually wide dovetail joinery, and the center drawer features wood dividers. The glass front cabinet is fitted with a red Bakelite knob. The bottom cabinet doors are fitted with wood handles and a lock, and there is one wood shelf inside. The sideboard rests on a molded base, and is labeled ‘M. P. Davis Furniture Manufacturers – London’.
