A copy of the screenplay for the 1981 horror film The Postman Always Rings Twice, written by David Mamet. The film, starring Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange, was the fourth cinematic adaptation of the 1934 James M. Cain novel of the same title. This three-hole-punched copy of the script is bound between white paper covers with two metal brads; ‘Postman Always Rings Twice’ is handwritten on the spine, and the title page includes the text ‘Second Draft / December, 1979’.
