A power loomed Persian-style area rug. This wool rug features a Persian garden design incorporating images of palmettes, lancet leaves, flower buds, blooms, foliage and vines amid ogival panels and a cream-colored field. The palette is cream, ruby, blush, gray, terracotta, cornsilk and zephyr yellow. Framing the field are three borders, including a wide main border grounded in variegated gray, filled with meandering vines, palmettes and flowers. Edges are serged on all sides under a full fabric backing. The rug is unlabeled.
