Antique Porcelain William L. Gilbert Mantel Clock

An antique porcelain William L. Gilbert time and strike, eight day movement mantel clock. This ornately designed clock features a Rococo Style porcelain case in an ivory tone accented with floral motifs and gilt trim. The ceramic clock face is housed behind a hinged glass front, and rests in an egg and dart molded brass toned bezel. It displays stylized Arabic numbers, ornate hands, two key arbors, and a decorative brass finished center. The verso opens and reveals a marked mechanism that reads ‘Nov 1st 1881’, and ‘Wm L. Gilbert Clock Co. Winsted Conn’. There is a key and pendulum also included.
