A contemporary mixed media painting on cloth and board created by listed Texas artist Jacques Lamy (French/American, 1946 – 2016). The piece uses a combination of plaster, textured board, woven patterned cloth and gouache paint to depict green bamboo plants growing against a variegated brown and pale blue background. The work is signed by hand to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing includes a label with artist information.

Condition

- minor discoloration and wear to composition; some fraying and wear to cloth; abrasions and scratches throughout finish of frame.
