Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool area rug. The Kaleen label affixed to the underside indicates that the rug was made in India without the use of child labor. The palette includes abrashed shades of coffee, olive, sand, mushroom, ivory, and tea. The coffee field is infilled with large herati motifs. Paired guard borders with flower and meander designs flank the palmette and lobed flower primary border. The selvedges are overcast and there is short warp fringe at each end. A Kaleen label is attached to the underside.
