A pair of Egyptian gouache and ink paintings on papyrus. Featured is a depiction of the Ark of Anubis with a jackal seated on a a chest with poles so it can be carried. The composition is based after an ancient Egyptian 18th Dynasty artifact. Hieroglyphic imagery is present to the left and right. Included is a depict of the god Osiris with two Nephthys standing behind him. The figure of the deceased stand in front of them with registers of hieroglyphic imagery along the top. This piece is signed to the lower left of the composition. Both works are presented float mounted on a blue mat in matching wood frame. Hanging hardware is present to the verso.

- minor nicks and wear to frame.
