A Japanese woodblock print on paper after Tōshūsai Sharaku Actor Sanokawa Ichimatsu III. This work depicts a male actor portraying ‘Gion prostitute Onayo’ in the play Hana-ayame Bunroku Soga. He is rendered in a kimono holding a fan. An in block kanji inscription is present to the upper left of the composition. It is presented behind glass in a neutral tone mat and metal frame. Hanging hardware is present to the verso.

- foxing mark to center of print; minor wear to frame.
