A hand-knotted Caucasian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of indigo, madder red, and ivory. The indigo hued field features a pole of diamond medallions with serrated accents, and branched form to the central medallion. The field also features a number of branched quatrefoil elements, stars, diamonds, rosettes, and rows of chained animal head motifs, along with a centrally placed inscription. Framing the field are a number of geometrically shaped patterns, including pickets along the interior of the field. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges, and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
