Item Details

An antique Restauration commode in mahogany, circa 1840. The chest, of the period of Louis Philippe, is veneered in figured mahogany, with three full-width, hand-dovetailed drawers fitted with round brass knobs. It has columnar side supports, accented with brass, and the chest rests on short, round legs. A later fossil marble top rests atop.

- surface marks, scuffs, scratches, dings, discoloration and wear throughout; evidence of worm holes; age cracks to sides throughout; chips to veneer in areas
