An antique nickel Elgin pocket watch and Grit newspaper salesman’s pocket watch with fob. The Elgin pocket watch is a side-winder, with sapphire-blue spade hands, black Roman numeral indicators, a sunken seconds sub-dial in the six-o’clock position, and framed in a silver-tone nickel case with simple reeded banding. The Grit pocket watch has a metallic green dial, with syringe hands, Arabic numeral indicators, a sunken seconds sub-dial in the six-o’clock position, framed by a simple silver-tone case and presented on a leather fob with an embossed ‘Grit Authorized Salesman – America’s Greatest Newspaper’ medallion.
