An original antique oil painting on canvas by listed American artist Paul Wesley Arndt (New York, 1881 – 1978). The painting depicts a young boy with a fishing pole and a dog wandering along a dirt path that cuts through a thick stand of bushy shrubs and trees. Shadowy mountains rise in the distance. The painting is signed in black to the lower left. It is presented in a wooden frame with cast surface embellishments, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
