Item Details
An oil painting by listed American artist Francis Clark Brown (1908 – 1992). This painting depicts an Impressionistic forest landscape with vibrant hues of autumnal color. This piece is signed to the lower right corner of the picture plane. It is presented in an open wooden frame with a wire hanger to the verso. Born in New Sharon, Iowa, Brown studied under William Forsyth, Clifton Wheeler, and Emile Gruppe and eventually moved to Nashville, Indiana where he became a member of the Brown County Art Guild.
