An antique maple and cast iron school desk by Thomas Kane & Co. This desk features a work surface that has a pencil groove and cut-out ink well holder. To the front is a fold-out planked seat. It stands on a black cast iron base with scrolled details. It is marked ‘Thos. Kane & Co. Racine, Wis.’ to the side.
