An assortment of Japanese pottery and art books. One featured item in this collection is a vintage hand painted Maruhon Ware pedestal bowl decorated with a relief fruit and garland design around the outside, koi fish motif handles, and a yellow pedestal base. It is stamped to the underside ‘Maruhon Ware Made In Japan’ with a ‘circle K’ maker’s mark. Also included are a pair of small blue glazed hexagonal footed planters stamped ‘Japan’ on the undersides, and a blue floral accented white porcelain Japanese sake set with three cups. Two books Ceramic Art of Japan: One Hundred Masterpieces from Japanese Collections by Henry et al Trubner, an exhibit catalog published by the Seattle Art Museum; and Master Prints of Japan: Ukiyo-e Hanga by Harold Stern (1969, Harry N. Abrams Inc.) complete this collection.
