A hand-knotted Persian pictorial wool mat. This small rug is rendered in an abrash palette of scarlet, wine, cobalt, clementine, ivory, carnation, and burnt orange. The scarlet hued field features a vase with a large floral arrangement accompanied by a pair of perched birds, while framed with a chain of flowers to each edge. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
