Item Details
A hand-knotted Kurdish wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a slightly abrash palette of cranberry, cream, sapphire, saffron, rose, aqua, fern, clementine, wine, and mocha. The cranberry hued field begins with a pair of stepped diamond medallions each infilled hooked medallions. It also features cruciform medallions, animals, diamonds, and smaller filler motifs throughout. Framing the field is a stylized medallion patterned border grounded in cream, along with a diagonal striped guard border in an array of colors. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
