A finely hand-knotted Persian Imperial Kerman wool area rug by Royal Rugs. This rug is rendered in a palette of powder blue, ivory, rose, saffron, peach, mint, sky blue, and carnation. The powder blue field features a floral themed diamond shaped medallion enclosed by ornate bouquets. Framing the field is a main rose grounded border with notches at each corner in an ornate floral design, along with meandering flowering guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. There is a label to the underside ‘Made by Hand in Iran’.
