Antique J. & G. Meakin "Monarch" Ironstone Dinner Plates
Item Details
A set of twelve antique dinner plates by J. & G. Meakin in the Monarch pattern. Each ironstone body is relief molded with a gadrooned well and meandering swirl to the rim. It is decorated with polychrome floral reserves and a green band on a cream glaze, finished with gilt trim. The pieces are marked to the base with a logo and registry number dated to 1910.
Condition
- spots of gentle wear to gilt trim and decoration; various minor marks and faints scratches.
