An original oil painting on academy board by Wisconsin artist Robert Lahmann (1922-2014). This painting features a country road, lined with trees, passing through a pastoral landscape. The sun is setting behind the rolling hills in the distance casting a warm glow over the scene. It is signed to the lower right. This work is presented in a gold tone gesso frame with no hanging hardware present.

Robert Lahmann was a mid 20th to early 21st Century Wisconsin artist known for his watercolor, gouache and acrylic paintings and drawings, primarily landscapes and portraits.

Condition

- to fair. Board is slightly bowed. Accretion throughout. Numerous chips to frame including loss to lower left.
