Chinese Ming Dynasty Kraak Export Ware Porcelain Plate

An antique Chinese Ming dynasty (1368-1644) Kraak porcelain bowl. This piece has a round body and features a blue and white design depicting a peach tree and bird in the center of the well, along with cartouches around the inner edge filled with auspicious motifs. The motifs include peaches, scrolls, fans, clouds, and bottles. Kraak ware, made predominantly during the Wanli reign (1573-1620), was some of the earliest export wares to arrive in Europe en masse. Unmarked.
