A sterling silver flatware set by International Silver Co. This is in the Lillian V.M. Helander designed Spring Glory pattern, first introduced in 1942, which features a flared handle that has an acanthus leaf and flower designed tip with openwork accent. The 127-piece set includes sixteen dinner forks, seventeen salad forks, eleven cocktail forks, six iced tea spoons, sixteen soup spoons, twelve demitasse spoons, sixteen teaspoons, a sugar spoon, twelve butter spreaders, a ladle, a tomato server, a meat fork, and two serving spoons, all marked ‘International Sterling’ to the backs of the handles. They are presented with fifteen dinner knives that have stainless blades and a knife handle missing its blade. Also included is a sterling cocktail fork by Oneida in the Afterglow pattern. The set comes in wooden flatware chest with burgundy felt-like interior lining. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives with stainless blades, is 87.315 ozt.
