Item Details

A vintage blanket chest by Ed Roos Company of Forest Park, Illinois. The dark stained chest features a rectangular hinged top with side guards and back spindle detail over an incised case with oval mount and gadrooned trim. It stands on block and ring turned legs with side stretchers. It is lined with cedar planks and includes a maker’s stamp to the interior.

Condition

- to poor: spindle detail on top broken and missing; finish wear, scratches and marks throughout.
