Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Afshar wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of indigo, madder red, wheat, ivory, sepia, sky blue, and cranberry. The indigo hued field features a lattice of boteh, with stylized boteh to the ivory grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a main herati border grounded in madder red, along with carnation meander, and laleh abbasi guard borders, and a meandering ribbon minor border. Finishing this rug are re-wrapped selvedges, an end bound in cotton warp threads, and an end with applied fringe. This rug is unlabeled.
