An antique doll with a Bébé Jumeau Diplôme d’Honneur body. The doll has a hand-painted composition socket head featuring an auburn wig with a center part, blue paperweight eyes with painted lashes, full cheeks, and slightly parted red lips. A maker’s mark was not visible. Her composition body is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs, and knees, and bears a sticker to the lower back reading ‘Bébé Jumeau Diplôme d’Honneur’. She is topped with a straw bonnet with black velvet trim, and adorned in a pink silk dress with lace detailing and a ‘Bébé Jumeau’ label at the waist, as well as cream colored stockings and black patent leather shoes.
