Antique Haviland and Co Oyster Plate

Item Details

An antique Haviland and Co oyster plate. The light blue porcelain plate has six wells in the shape of oyster shells surrounding a center mignonette sauce well. The edges of the shell wells are hand-painted to resemble the exterior oyster with the interiors decorated with butterflies. The plate is marked on the underside, H&C with the mark used by the company between 1876 and 1879.
